Ren Krueger is a an aspiring YA fantasy author and owner of The Writerly Type Studio, offering web design and editing services to authors and other writerly folks. She’s also an assistant for the Writing & Illustrating for Young Readers conference.

You can often find her singing along to Broadway tunes and attending musicals around Utah, where she lives with her four equally theater-obsessed children and two cats, who like to sit on her keyboard while she writes (the cats, not the kids).

I met so many amazing people at the Writing & Illustrating for Young Readers conference this year. @wifyr I was having so much fun that I didn't take nearly enough pictures! And THEN last week I got to be the assistant to @brodiashton at the @wifyr conference. We had such a talented group of writers in our workshop and had so much fun. It's a bit torturous reading these Hunger Games books already knowing the ultimate outcome. I know I'm going to be sad and all sorts of other emotions, and yet I read anyway. It's certainly a different kind of reading experience...and even though it'
It's a bit torturous reading these Hunger Games books already knowing the ultimate outcome. I know I'm going to be sad and all sorts of other emotions, and yet I read anyway. It's certainly a different kind of reading experience...and even though it's torture, I still love it. The characters in this one, both new and familiar, were so good. I can't help but get attached. I'm also impressed that although the structure of the story is the same (yep, another Hunger Games), I didn't get bored with it. Enjoyed this story. Cried. Love Haymitch even more than I already did. #dystopian #booklover #hungergames
